The company Glass Metal Ltd. was founded in Czechoslovakia 20th August 1992 by the partner holders Zdeněk Duchoň and Blahoslav Matys. Nowdays the management of the company has been taken over by their sons – Pavel Duchoň and David Matys. Both founders had had a long-term experience in this sector. The company is a successor of several communist-era factories which were united into one national company.
The firm is a well-known Czech producer of chandeliers and lighting fixtures. It represents the highest world quality and tradition handmade production from Bohemia crystal, steel, brass and other non-ferrous metals, as well as manufacturing of gilded glassware combined with crystal hung-decorations made in combining of traditional manual skills and modern technology.
The company exports its products to many different countries all over the world. They decorate various staterooms, castles, mansions and palaces, governmental residences, mosques, temples as well as peoples homes.

The main and most dominant production has always been stylish lighting fixtures, especially the tulle of Maria Theresa.
